Three campuses were added in 2006, recently followed by the other members from the Emmaüs group. AZ Sint-Maarten serves a wide region around Mechelen, stretching from Ranst to Zemst and from Londerzeel to Heist-opden-Berg. AZ Sint-Maarten, along with about 20 other health and welfare institutions, is part of the non-profit organization Emmaüs.
