As Chief Digital & Information Officer at IGT1 the holding entity of IFS and WorkWave, Sal leads the IFS M&A integration planning as well as ensuring the ongoing digital and technology transformation that will support and enable the growth of the acquired companies.

Previously Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at IFS, were he led the talented team that is drove all information technology, as well as the continued digitization and transformation of IFS. In mid-2019 he was given additional accountability for IFS Facilities and IFS Procurement globally.

He has successfully overseen the largest technology transformation program successfully in the Company’s history - the move to IFS own enterprise ERP software platform, IFS Applications 10, along with major other components like a single new Intranet; Payroll standardised on a single platform; and many other solutions in the cloud that addresses the end to end processes of IFS.

A technology leader with more than 38 years’ experience, Sal was SAP’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) S/4HANA Cloud and SMB prior to joining IFS. He has also held senior technology and CIO roles at Eskom, ABSA Bank, ICL Fujitsu, Capita Group, CSC and Rolls-Royce.

In his role as CDIO, Sal is accustomed to blending strong commercial awareness with extensive experience in the lifecycle management and delivery of complex programs. He also understands the importance of service delivery, including business change, transformation, and transition projects. He has worked in Banking, Utilities, Professional Services, A&D, and Outsourcing.

A family man and avid sports fan, Sal loves nothing better than live sport, as well as the movies.
