Port of Duqm's journey through ERP evolution and IFS Cloud upgrade
Kevin Wippermann, the CTO of Port of Duqm Company SAOC shares the organization’s journey in embracing innovation, going from no core system to implementing a full blown ERP by IFS. After recently completing a major port expansion they needed to adapt their systems to support their evolving role as a port authority. IFS has allowed them to gradually phase out the use of a Terminal Operating System, simplifying their application landscape, reducing the need for subject matter experts in specific tasks, and enabling better integration with other business processes such as procurement, finance, invoicing, and maintenance.
