John Walsh is Chief Operating Officer for Accenture, responsible for leading the company’s business operations, executing its business strategy, protecting its infrastructure and ensuring operational excellence. He is also a member of the Executive and Global Management Committee, where he works closely with Chair and CEO Julie Sweet and other senior leaders to set the business strategy and drive the company’s total enterprise reinvention.

John has more than 30 years of experience providing strategic planning, operations management, IT and BPO services to many of the world’s leading companies. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, John served as Global Sales Officer, where he led the creation of a world-class tech-, data- and AI-enabled global sales organization. He was previously Group Chief Executive of the Global Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) business for Accenture, where he established the vision and strategy for sales and revenue growth overall client relationship management.

John currently serves on the board of IFS, an innovative cloud-based enterprise software provider and prior to that served as a director on other boards including Vlocity, Adchemy, and the Churchill Club.

John graduated from the Accenture executive management program at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland and completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University.
